Goals
A concussion can occur after a blow or rapid acceleration of the head or body. Symptoms may include headache, dizziness, visual discomfort, difficulty concentrating, sleep changes and imbalance. A comprehensive assessment considers your history, symptom pattern and findings from appropriate clinical tests.
A thoughtful, coordinated approach
Depending on your needs, the team may evaluate balance and visual-motor function, discuss activity modification and recommend targeted rehabilitation or referral to an appropriate medical specialist. Testing alone does not establish a concussion diagnosis; findings must be interpreted in clinical context.
Safety first
New or worsening neurological symptoms, repeated vomiting, seizures, severe headache or increasing confusion warrant urgent medical evaluation.
Look beyond a symptom checklist
Persistent symptoms can affect concentration, visual comfort, balance, and everyday activities. We consider your history and clinical findings together, and discuss testing or rehabilitation options suited to your presentation.
Your evaluation may include
- A detailed symptom and injury history
- Relevant clinical assessment with selected balance, eye movement, or cognitive measures
- A discussion of activity, rehabilitation goals, and appropriate referrals
Questions about your care
Will I need every technology shown?
No. Testing is selected based on clinical need. A device score alone does not establish a diagnosis.
How is progress followed?
Your plan may include symptom review, functional goals, clinical reassessment, and selected repeat measures when appropriate.
